Approximately 500g (a little over 1 lb.) of the metal used to make the models that are currently for sale: 54% Lead; 35% Bismuth; 11% Tin.
First, There are several sources for obtaining metal for pouring your own models. HOWEVER, if you would like to grab some of my metal formula, I will sell some of same metal I use to pour my models. To be clear, this is the exact same formula as the one listed in the How to Section, so feel free to use the formula there to make your own!
This metal will ship in ingots (or pigs) the shape of a mini muffin, approximately 3 ingots per 500g. Hey, I told you this is the same metal I use, so you are getting it the same way I pour it! Each ingot will fit entirely in the ladle sold by PrinceAugust.ie if you are using their ladle. Generally 500g of metal will pour 6-10 semiflat models. Of course if it is a larger model like a cannon then it will take more metal. For additional help on casting and metal melting temps check out my Casting guide in the How To section of this site. All metal and models are shipped USPS Priority Mail at the flat rate of $11.00 per order, which is pretty much my cost of shipping. I do not charge extra for the box or materials to wrap your order. Generally all orders ship within 2-3 days of purchase as I do keep a small quantity of metal poured. If it is going to be longer then 2-3 days I will reach out to you and let you know the timeline.
